Description
Transform ordinary paper plates into a colorful school bus, perfect for families and classrooms to express creativity.
Materials
- Two paper plates
- Acrylic paints (red, yellow, blue, green)
- A paintbrush
- Black construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Optional: glitter or sequins for extra sparkle
Instructions
- Begin by preparing your work surface with newspaper or a drop cloth to catch any paint spills. Lay out all your materials within easy reach.
- Take one paper plate and paint it yellow, letting it dry completely before proceeding. The other plate should be painted blue for contrast.
- Once your paint is dry, position the yellow plate as the base of the bus. Cut the blue plate in half and place one half at the back of the yellow plate for the bus’s headrest.
- Using black construction paper, cut out windows and wheels. Glue them securely onto the bus body with a hot glue gun.
- If you want to add some flair, sprinkle glitter or stick on sequins to make your bus sparkle and shine.
Notes
Be patient and allow each layer of paint to dry completely. This prevents colors from mixing unexpectedly.
